The Village of Utica, Ohio

Founded in 1810 by William Robertson only seven years after Ohio was admitted to the Union as it's 17th state. During the early 20th century many fires swept through destroying several homes, hotels, and businesses. However, Utica never stopped rebuilding. From 1903 to 1929 Utica was the largest hand blown glass producers in the U.S., housing four factories making window glass and one making cathedral glass. Today Utica is home to many new businesses' from wedding venues, orchards, specialty shops, Velvet Ice Cream and many more.
